Hatch End is a desirable area situated within North West London which attracts everyone from working professionals to families. Growing with the arrival of the London to Birmingham Railway in the 1830s, many garden estates established themselves in the 1930s tempting people away from the inner city to a semi-rural life. These coveted areas include the Hatch End Park Estate, Pinnerwood Park Estate and the Royston Park Estate.
Hatch End has evolved with the times into an area with a dynamic community spirit with an array of boutique style shops and restaurants offering a range of cuisines to suit all tastes. You will often see the area coming together to celebrate events such as Christmas, St. George's Day, Royal Weddings, etc. by throwing street parties and offering food and wine to local residents.
Hatch End Park Estate is located to the north of the Uxbridge Road and has become a much sought after location; with a variety of three/four bedroom mock Tudor/brick Comben & Wakeling family homes.
Pinnerwood Park Estate is a much larger development located north of the Uxbridge Road. The design of these three/four bedroom Artegan style houses is very similar to those found in Hampstead Gardens. The Estate became a conservation area in 1991, hence many of the original features such as the tree-lined roads and cottage style gardens have been retained.
There have been other developments over the years and the area can now offer everything from detached Edwardian houses to luxury apartments along The Avenue or smaller one bedroom maisonettes in Westfield Park ideal for Hatch End station.
Robertson Phillips sponsors Grimsdyke School, located in Hatch End, renowned as a highly-recommended top-performing school in the Borough of Harrow.
